Andy Warhole

I bought this shirt not because I like Andy Warhol. In fact, I bought it after I learned about the history of Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick. I think everyone should learn what this manipulative sexual voyeur of minimal talent bullshit artist did in his life. Here are four reasons:

1) Andy Warhol is extremely overrated. Most of his art was just made in off-site studios that he never visited.

2) Manipulation of people: Andy Warhol's "art" was made using young artists, who were struggling, to do his work for him.

3) Social engineering skills: Andy Warhol is so good at branding himself. He manipulated and collaborated with famous celebrities; conning the art industry into buying his world famous art.

4) Andy Warhol was definitely a huge main reason Edie died at the young age 28. He manipulated her for 10 movies at the Factory and only paid her a pittance of $50 at the end. Through his jealousy, he split up with Edie and caused Edie go through massive depression. Used up, she died from overdosing on barbiturates. 

Poor Edie Sedgwick, her life contained so many tragic elements, but she is always a fashion inspiration.
